Late Night Stitching
We love dirty filthy beats that make you wanna dance

Early Day Headache

By Nick Vanderheyden
The first edition of our party concept was a fair one.
While slowly the crowd grew, S.Cense warmed up the early visitors, playing what else then Funky House. Around 2300 Hrs, MomsClubbers Luvs and DanD took over the decks. The momma's played their finest at De Stip until the clock hit one o'clock. Next one who came to
concour the floor, Tom Smeyers aka Sneakerfreak. One hell of set a played by this guy. At the peak of the 'Swing' he gave the crowd over to Mr. Crochet and local boy S.Cense. Supporting their favourite local House Dj, the crowd bursted loose. The end you ask? I woke up in a cough at my friend's house, so you tell me :)

Thanks go to all the people who helped out and/or came to parteej

Alas, Late Night Stitching's Funky House edition lifted off again.
But, it's very probably that there's going to be a next edition.
This time we'll put on our blingbling, no wait, the hell with that. It's HipHop baby

Dj's Bio

By Nick Vanderheyden
Copcopcop

His interest in music first led him playing in a few bands. At present he’s still a member of Add Action Listener This, an experimental, Indie band.
Made his first steps to the big crowd as a dj only a few years ago. Sending his demo to an online advert for beginning dj’s. Got selected and played his first at Petrol (Antwerp). Mainly HipHop, but got the likes of funk and soul music. Artists like Mos Def, Pharoah Monch, Miles Davis and others made him blend the decks. Playing them long players as well as cd’s, preferring the vinyl off course.

Kimbo

It all started for this guy about ten years ago. While listening to the Beastie Boys, he got impressed by their scratches. He bought some cheap pick ups and got started. Laying down a HipHop sound and blending it all together with some scratches.
His main achievement is a second place at DJ mania 2004. A nice accomplishment since he was one of the few Hiphop dj’s in an all style contest. Now on an intersection of his dj career, he’s keen to make a move to some other projects. Not only playing the decks, but into bass guitar as well as mouth organs. We’ll definitely hear more about that later on.

S.Cense

It all began when he bought some old decks from a friend about seven years ago. Playing techno in the beginning years, he moved to a more clubby, groovy sound. Organizing his first parties with the Handlebar Club at Snor (Molen, Tessenderlo), still the most legendary parties 'Looi' ever knew.
When visiting Moodclub at Rumba (Leuven) he really got the likes of some funky, jacking beats. Without any doubt he started playing this house music, for several years now. A big fan of the Silo parties like Sunny Side Up, Fluffy Clouds, Moodclub

Momsclub Balcony

By Nick Vanderheyden
Friday the 2nd of November it was once again Momsclub Balcony @ Café d’Anvers. Last time being such a fine party, we were eager to visit this one. The good folks of Momsclub rented a bus for the ride. For a drizzly ten Euros you could get a return ride along with an entrance ticket. We chose not to take the bus, we arrived a bit later and paid about 10 Euros.

The Momsclub collective started off around midnight with Dan D. The Balcony wasn’t completely stacked, but hey you really could shake that bootay. Funky beats by the Momma’s spreading all over the floor.
Special guest this evening, Ken of East Coast Boogieman (US). Ken Christensen is an all around nice guy and his personality shines through in his set. He had no problem keeping the crowd smiling and sweating.
Luvs had the honour playing the last beats. The late hours weren’t much of a problem for this guy, he gave it his all till the end.
Good times in Antwerp.

The Momsclubbers will charm Café d’Anvers first floor again the 7th of December. They will be joined by Kinky Movement (UK).
