Fluffy cloud spotted above Leuven

By Nick Vanderheyden
Silo was last Saturday once again set for some funky beats. Fluffyclouds, a half annual party concept, brings the finest house dj’s to the Stella town. The line up was promising with Johnny Fiasco (USA), Kelvin K (UK) Massimo DaCosta and Wes.

Since the next fluffy cloud passes another 6 months from now, this one had to be a night to remember. The first hundred visitors received an exclusive mix cd by Kelvin K. The early hundred, and many more, enjoyed the first beats by fluffyclouds’ resident Wes.
We arrived during the set of Massimo DaCosta, man can he keep it phonkey. Bringing the finest jackin house, he had no problem keeping the crowd on the dance floor.
Johnny Fiasco lined up, one of Chicago’s most influential house innovators. The expectations were great. Starting off with some nice beats, he changed to the heavier stuff pretty quickly. With the bass bursting out of the speakers, he brought an unexpected, but very appreciated set.
Last but definitely not least, Kelvin K. Being a fluffyclouds’ ambassador for over 3 years, he knows what the fluffy Silo population really wants.

Another great night @ Silo.

Four years Moodclub

By Nick Vanderheyden
Staying in the house atmosphere, last Thursday we payed Moodclub a visit. They celebrated Four years Moodclub. Silo (Leuven) was the ideal setting. Residents Pierre De La Rivière, Jonni Gratts and Igwaar invited Demarkus Lewis, Slater Hogan and P-Jay.

Thursday nights at Leuven are of course student nights. It’s once again proven, students always know where the party’s at. And boy do they like a good party.
A cam-full Silo started off with Igwaar, bringing everyone in the Mood with some nice, funky beats. The pace was set and Demarkus Lewis had no problem keeping up. Bursting the decks, he anticipated well and really got the crowd going. No problem for Slater Hogan to pick this up. The semi-resident is always good for a jackin house set. Same for P-Jay, who proved to be a direct hit.
Clinchers of the evening were De La Rivière and Gratts. Playing the classics and some nice unknown vinyl. Need I say, a time well spend!

Missed the party and regretting it? The 31st of October,
Eazy F*ck vs. Moodclub @ Silo.

Late Night Stitching online

By Nick Vanderheyden
There's a new party crew in town. They call themselves stitchers, and they organize Late Night Stitching. Yes Stitching, nice!!
Just for the fun of it, and a serious lack of partymoney, they thought why not throw or own parties. The idea was born, like many before, and now we're at the beginning of it all.
A few dj's (Copcopcop, Kimbo, S.Cense) and some partyheads (Thomas, Nick) try to give you all a hell of a time. Different styles each time, from house over drum&bass to hiphop, it's all good. We just love the music man.
The concept is free parties and cheap beer, cause we know how much you like the damn beer.

This blog was created so we can keep you posted. So check it!
